Perhaps the greatest lesson any Daddy could learn is that he’s not Superman.
Believe me when I tell you it is a blow to a Daddy’s ego when he comes to the realization that he can’t do it all.

What does a Daddy get out of it? Have you ever read that question posed in a forum before?
It pertains to the attraction and reward a Daddy gets from a relationship which includes the dynamic of ABDL.
A lot of it comes down to pride. I know, for myself and many other Daddies, seeing your BabyGirl made happy is a reward unlike anything else and knowing that you were the one who made her happy gives you a sense of worth that broadens your shoulders and makes you feel good about yourself.
The people whom we find ourselves drawn closest to are those who make us feel better about who we are and those who are receptive to the same from us.
And for a Daddy, Being Superman is his daily passion.
Daddies learn other lessons, too:
- They learn that sometimes they have to say “no”, even when they want to say “yes”. And they either learn this along the way or they’ll find themselves learning it from reflection in the after.
- They learn that, though it may seem cruel, they sometimes need to hold the leather sides of a wallet shut – because in the end, Superman comes through where all others have tried and failed. Money can’t buy love, but it does make the world go ’round and when something doesn’t make financial sense, chances are that voice in your head isn’t really telekinesis, or mind-reading or any other superpower. It’s simple common sense.
- They learn what the most powerful force in the universe is. And it isn’t kryptonite or a nuclear weapon or an exploding star, but rather a BabyGirl who whispered love and toppled a mountain.
Does a Daddy give up on Being Superman? Not in a million lightyears. There’s no amount of kryptonite that could make him signal surrender. He simply takes the shots, falls from his feet and then stands back up.
There’s a BabyGirl who needs him. For her and for himself, he will always be Trying to Be Superman.
