Some book links on my site are temporarily unavailable and with any hope, they will only ever be temporarily unavailable.
If you haven’t seen any articles about the current ebook situation, the summary of the main issue is: Ebook selling sites like Amazon.com and Kobobooks.com (for random examples) do not have active filters in place to keep adult content books from becoming visible to anyone who does searches on these sites, including minors.
While I have no control over how Amazon.com or Kobobooks.com filters their adult content, I recognize the concerns. Unfortunately, my author name has come into the mix because of the following article:
My books have been brought into question because the word “Daddy” was used in a general search on WHSmith.com.
Namely, Kobo Books (who are the ebook providers for WHSmith.com) has deleted Zorro Daddy completely, a presumable thanks to my name appearing in the above link. But Amazon also deleted a handful of my books as well. For the time being, as these sites decide what they will be selling and how they will handle the responsibility of having adult content on their sites, I won’t be removing any of the dead links as this story continues to spiral in directions that can’t be predicted.
Smashwords.com is, thus far, unaffected by this and provides links for ebooks in all formats available (including Kindle).
Rest assured, I will continue to write my stories. But I felt it necessary to explain why some of the links on this site are suddenly dead … temporarily. (Crossing fingers.)
