“I’ve had a lifelong interest in journaling, and have been a prolific journaler across many different media for years. I journal about lots of different things, and for many different reasons. My journal is a mixture of silly, absurd frivolity, and some weighty, serious philosophical pondering.”
And that’s how Mako Allen’s website begins. It’s a new venture for him, but it’s nothing new for him to be venturesome.
- He and Spacey host the Big Little Podcast, 102 episodes in (at the time I wrote this blog). Catch up on “the 101”.
- He is now an author of two erotica books, Auntie Eva’s Border and Concerning Littleton.
- He helped form and continues to help run the monthly DC Littles Munch, here’s the info.
- He was the first mayor of BouncyTown, a fun name for the ABDL area at BDSM events that has become the coined phrase for littles area at other BDSM events.
- He is a regular at Camp Crucible, CAPCon and once attended the now-defunct Vermont Hotel gatherings, parties by some lady named Mommy Swirvin, Diaper Fest and so many other wonderful events from yesterday.
- He is a life coach, has a wealth of experience with people that time and effort have produced.
- And, in the event that he is read this, I’ll stop making a list of his accomplishments, to prevent him from blushing bright pink – only to say that the list could go on.
Mako is a modest individual who overcomes his sometimes shy demeanor to be able to do things like co-host podcasts or run BouncyTowns. But whether introverted or extroverted, he will always listen to what you have to say.
A lot of times in life, we look for people who are willing to just hear us out. And often, we come across people who want to tell us what it is that they know. The funny thing about ears and voices is that they both can be used at the same time. But before you know what it is that you want to say, you have to listen first.
Mako not only understands this, but he’s the kind of individual who will help you to make your point before he offers his opinion to you. And this clearly shows that he actually listens to you.
This bring to mind that scene in Pulp Fiction between John Travolta and Uma Thurman when she asked him if, when in conversation, he was someone who listened or someone who was just waiting to talk.
Mako is a listener and because most everyone knows his voice (even if they don’t know his face), that’s an important quality to have. It separates you from others and makes you unique. And while I know that Mako would say that he is no more important than anyone else (because that’s the humble soul he is), the effect he has had on the ABDL community has been quite important.
And now I invite you to visit with him every day on his website, even if just for a few minutes.
Blessings to you and all you do, Mako. What makes important people important is the fact that they don’t know it. That way, their intentions will always yield results for someone – whether within a small circle of friends … or globally, as the important words said reach the ears that need to hear them.
