Violet is having a great deal of difficulty adjusting from the recent events in her life. Having spent several weeks as a recluse, she begins down a pathway to becoming completely detached from life altogether. Throughout the rest of the spring semester, there are challenges that the three girls make of each other, tempting fate and, in the process, bringing Violet back from the emotionally dead.
