The Crinkling

The Crinkling

To the tune of Simon & Garfunkel’s
“The Sound of Silence”

Hey there, loneliness, my friend
I’ve come to say goodbye and then
I would envision you will never meet
This group of people who are just like me

These connections
That started within our souls
Don’t grow old
They share the sound of crinkling

And I will never crawl alone
This is my family and my home
With the happy of a teddy bear
A cutesy onesie, ribbons in the hair
And a glowing paci that flashes with neon light
So rave tonight
And hear the sound of crinkling

An’ everywhere I choose to go
I see a sea of friendlies.   So,
So many Bigs with a cheeky grin
So many littles with a shying chin
So many people who are glad that I am there
That do care
We share the sound of crinkling

Everyone, you surely know
Judgement like a cancer grows
You want others to accept you
And that means you must accept too
Here these words that hypocrites ignore
And listen for the crinkling

And the littles sat and played
With the Lego stacks they made
And the time passed by so slowly
Like forever was meant to be
Keep in mind that
The love of the many will always welcome all
Big or small
Just listen for the love of crinkling
