The Waddling Dead, Season Two – On Kindle Unlimited

After having received a few requests from people, asking if I was going to publish The Waddling Dead Season One Story, I put it up on Kindle Unlimited.

So, following that same decision again, I have published The Waddling Dead Season Two on Kindle Unlimited as well.

This will give people the opportunity to read them in an ebook format, if they so choose.

The Waddling Dead Season Two on Kindle Unlimited

But if you aren’t subscribed to Kindle Unlimited or if you don’t have an ebook reader, you can find this story in two other places:

  1. There is a Waddling Dead group I started on FetLife where you can join and/or read the gruesome, crinkly tales:
The Waddling Dead Stories on FetLife
  2. Or you can read them here on my website:
    The Waddling Dead Stories

So what is the Waddling Dead?

Each season is a 30-episode ABDL zombie tale that follows a group of college sorority girls as they battle the undead … while wearing diapers, of course.

The season two story picks up where the first season left off with Britney and all the sorority girls being taken to the nearby Harris Regional Hospital.  Unbeknownst to all, the virus uncovered at that campground is also transported to the hospital.

The sorority girls are admitted and within a half hour, the zombie virus resurfaces – quickly spreading all over the hospital, infecting patients and re-infecting the sorority sisters – so recently admitted.

The Center for Disease Control is contacted.  The hospital is locked down as police, CDC agents and military surround the building.  Britney, her sorority sisters and a nurse named Rikki weave throughout the building, avoiding and sometimes fighting the growing zombie masses – in open areas, stairwells, elevators and finally on the roof of the hospital in a climax when Britney re-defines the meaning of self-sacrifice in a last-ditch effort to save her friends.

If a picture speaks a thousand words, then a photo set could likely speak millions.

Like so many others, the sight of a girl in a diaper is something most definitely easy on the eyes.  But I always look for a story in pictures.  (There’s a big surprise, huh? LOL)

And being as I am one of those daddies who has little to no interest in physical dominance or spanking or anything of that like, stories that show the sweetness of the gentler approach always jump out at me.

This particular photo sets shows the innocence inside the BabyGirl and the complete trust she has placed in her caregiver.  My take on the set was that the caregiver was a babysitter.  And the sweetness she returned was just as precious as that which she received.

The gentler approach isn’t for everyone.  For myself, I have found it to be intoxicating to melt a BabyGirl’s mind with a few soft whispers, to hold her heart with firm yet reserved hands and to captive her attentions with a touch so  tender she becomes putty that would make anyone gush.

And when you can gush just by looking at a photo set, you know that those pictures have truly spoken a complete story.  A gentler one … of a sweetie pie.

Ahh … some day.

On the day The 50 Shades books were reported about on NBC Nightly News, this website saw a one-day spike in traffic that has yet to be even remotely equaled since.

At first, I thought there was some sort of glitch in the WordPress stats feature.  But other less-than-vanilla websites were also reporting record visitations on that day.  So I knew something was up.

Three years later, I went to see the first 50 Shades movie in the theater – something I rarely do anymore … unless it is the latest Sylvester Stallone movie.  As I sat there watching it, I thought about the possibilities of where this all could lead.  And I will admit that my mind went right to The Zeke and Lily Saga. I saw it as a pipe dream, but still contemplated how to take all 10 books in the series (11 now, but at the time, there were only 10) and combine them into 3 or 4 movies.

To just see those words: Zeke & Lily on the screen would have been a thrill unparalleled and likely, never to be paralleled again.  But it might come at a grave cost.

Tell ya what … like me get back to the explanation of that grave cost in a minute.

Unlike a lot of folks, I liked the first movie.  It was extremely watered down, but at the same time, it was watered down enough to give the vanilla masses the ability to swallow it without choking.  When speaking with a friend about it, he disagreed with me – calling it an abomination of BDSM, going so far as to refer to the Shades stories as an abusive relationship and not a representation of BDSM at all.

He would continue on about it, saying how this showed BDSM in a horrible light and how it wasn’t fair to present it in mainstream with such an inaccurate depiction.

I respected his opinion, as he was entitled to have one.  But my reply to him was:

“Throughout the 90s, ABDL was bastardized on talk show after talk show after talk show – from Jerry Springer to Donahue to Montell Williams to Sally Jessy Raphael and so many others.  And not a single one of them took a serious approach to exploring the meaning of age play, instead opting to decorate their stages as a nursery and to allow their audience members to ask insulting and  demeaning questions with intention of poking fun at the subject – as opposed to learning about it and perhaps comprehending its meaning … none of which even once being corrected or redirected by the hosts.

So I understand your pain when I hear you speak of how 50 Shades has misrepresented BDSM.”

But he brought a good point to light, once again.  Everything comes with a cost … a grave cost.  And without the necessary monitoring to keep the subject objective (for lack of a less confusing way to put it), BDSM becomes a way to physically and mentally abuse people and get away with it … and ABDL becomes an organization of diaper freaks with Peter Pan Syndrome who avoid adult responsibilities.

Sounds ugly, doesn’t it? The four letters we have in common have never been given a fair chance in the public eye.  And because of this, we don’t smile fondly on more opportunities when they arise.  But as a community, we protect our own.  And we always will.

Perhaps there are situations when certain ABDLers go at each other.  Sometimes, this is a scuffle, figuratively speaking, between two members of the younger generations.  Sometimes, this is a battle between members of opposing events.  Sometimes, this is a poor exchange between two people who struggle with how to present their opinions.

But regardless of our reasons for being human, another human condition is to dream.  And dream I do.

Who would have ever believed that we could come as far as we have already?  We have at least three hotel conventions, two of which that are now hotel takeover conventions.  We have massive house parties, regular events and gatherings, more munches and groups and websites than can be counted … and the ability to keep growing – on our terms.

Zeke & Lily – In Theaters Now.

Ahh … some day.

“I love ABDL themed fiction, and when you add a little bit of magic and fantasy to it, I love it even more! This was a really enjoyable read. Well-written with a very relatable protagonist. So much of the ABDL kink is psychological and the writer does a good job of describing the protagonist’s mental processes as she goes on her journey of regression. I did feel like the ending was a little rushed, but over all the writer’s message was clear. Definitely worth a read if you enjoy ABDL and regression stories!” – Ami M (Kindle Reviewer)

The Waltz of the Butterflies

Take from the ABDL romance:

Forever Young

KindlePDF EbookSmashwordsKoboGoogle

here is a little story about the first time and about the unforeseen dancing that accompanied it.

The Waltz of the Butterflies

Going along for the ride, Ella was without any ability to shake from her little mind the fact that she had been denied entrance into that room.  And in a matter of a few seconds, it truly had become an obsession for her.  Dante took immediate notice to this struggle, her eyes once again being the windows to her soul.  But in a matter of a few second, she would be distracted in a way like never before.  And in a matter of a few minutes, her mind would be focusing on what she actually had – as opposed to what she thought she wanted … if not thought she needed.

Getting to the bottom step of the staircase, Dante turned and carried her into the front room – walking over to the front bay window and drawing the heavy rod-pocket curtain open fully.  But there was a second curtain behind it that he left closed.  It was made of a silk-like material, very-light and only semi-transparent – still allowing the brightness of day into the room but keeping the view into the room somewhat private to passers-by outside.

Initially, she thought nothing of this, but was about to understand the importance of that second curtain – finding instant gratitude for it.

here is a little story about overcoming your doubts and believing in what could be.

—————

Sealing the Deal –

Wednesday, 6pm

Ella walked briskly down the sidewalk, ignoring the noise and the bright lights coming from the ball park two blocks away.  This was not about fun and games, not for her and not tonight.  She wasn’t as angry as she was last night, but she was certainly on edge – for good reason.

At the end of the next block she walked into the Forever Young bar, that same watering hole establishment where all this trouble had begun for her. Opening the door and pushing past the bouncer, she marched right in – beginning to scan the faces in the room until she saw Dante sitting at the far end of the main bar.  Waving the bouncer off, Dante stood up and weaved his way through the crowd of people who were there for drinking and for the bar’s dinner hour specials.

Motioning Ella over to a booth at the side of the main room, he took a seat on the other side of the table.  Placing his elbows on the table and folding his hands, he waited for her to start talking.

But what could she say to him?  What could he possibly expect to hear from her?

“I have some explaining to do.  I understand,” Dante said calmly, hoping to spur the beginning of the conversation out of her.

What Good Things Do …

In what I write, I often use the phrases Dream Come True, Forever and a Day, Fairy Tale Ending, and of course, Happily Ever After.  What I write is fantasy and therefore can always be the perfect story that welcomes one of those phrases at its end.

Real life teaches us that it isn’t as simple as: “Meet, Fall in Love, Kiss, Roll End Credits”.  And the people we gain and lose in our lives sometimes make us numb to continuing our search for the soul mate we believed to have been found.

I once received a friend request on FetLife from someone who had a quote in her profile I had never read before.  It said:

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they go right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart, so that better things can fall together.” – Marilyn Monroe

In an instant, unexpectedly and perhaps even unintentionally, what you believed to be the truth can change.  And if you’ve felt the sting of vindication, you know what I mean by truly feeling numb.

But the numbness goes away after a while and your head resurfaces above the water.  You’ll still be the wonderful person you were before, but you’ll have been made wiser for the future.

So, I present to you a story ( a short one ) that I wish I could claim ownership of.  It tells a sweet tale about what someone’s heart can feel and how words can sometimes be perceived to mean two different things.

I posted this story before, but I don’t think I could post it in enough places.  And though it doesn’t drive at any ageplay or “Daddy’s Girl Fetish”, I believe it captures the root of the Daddy/BabyGirl dynamic very well.

Beautiful Needs

A girl asked a guy if he thought she was pretty.
He said no.

She asked him if he wanted to be with her forever.
He said no.

She then asked him if she were to leave him, would he cry?
He said no.

She had heard enough.
As she walked away, tears streaming down her face, he grabbed her arm and said:

You’re not pretty. You’re Beautiful.
I don’t want to be with you forever, I need to be with you forever.
And I wouldn’t cry if you walked away, I’d die.

That Season Is Upon Us

It’s that time of year again – when the leaves start to fall from the trees and the nights get cooler.  Soon, snow will be here.  And with colder temperatures comes … the footed pajama season.

BabyGirls everywhere will be slipping into their favorite PJs for the warmth.  But each and every one of them will scarcely realize how her new attire adds a bit more cuteness to an already-adorable package.

Her diaper will become completely covered and out of sight for the first time in months.  Out of sight, but not out of sound.  Waddling and crinkling with every little baby step she takes and every bit of crawling she makes, her little diaper butt will puff out the back of her pajamas – letting everyone know that she’s a BabyGirl.

Even when clothed, she still can’t hide the truth. And the real truth is: she honestly doesn’t mind letting it show, even if she can’t control it.  There is something to be said for being helplessly adored.

But sometimes, her diapered bottom will come out – making a guest appearance.  The pajamas with the drop seat in the back not only accidentally pop open on their own, but they make it so much quicker and easier to check her diaper.

And when she needs it, changing her while she is in a pair of pajamas makes her the most adorable little sight on the changing table, or the floor or wherever you lay her down.

It’s so hard for her to resist the feeling just then.

No more trying to find the most secure place on her baby-t to clip that pacifier string.

Now it goes on her pajama collar with no trouble and she can’t help but feel a bit naked without that clip.

No more cold piddies.  Her feet will always stay toasty all autumn and winter long in the attached footies or perhaps in separate booties.

She’s such a little cutie pie with her creativity, even more so when her creativity yields a practical result.

And then there’s the sleeping pants option for those nights when the house is heated just right, making full and footed PJs too warm for comfort.  Another is the matching top and bottom pajama sets.

Choices!  Oh my, yes!

With either of these options, her diaper is still visible underneath.  But the cutest thing in the world happens.  As she waddles and moves about, the waist of her diaper proudly appears and grows as her sleeping pants slide down a little bit at a time.  She can yank them up as often as she wants, but her diapered bootie will always push them back down.

When thickly diapering her to put her down for a nap or for the night, whether she is in footed pajamas or otherwise, always make sure to take a few pictures to capture the moment for a lifetime.

And make absolute certain that her zipper is up.  Because it may be a long cold set of seasons ahead for us, but with her pajamas, you’ll keep her warm while she returns the favor – melting your heart … like only she can do.

Chapter Twenty-Six: Lambs to the Slaughter

Monday, 7:15pm

Doctor Glen had been busy since he ran into Rikki and the girls in that stairwell.  And after seeing they weren’t any real threat, he went back to focusing on his primary plan.

Though infected, the zombie doctor knew, as well as Rikki did, the CDC wasn’t going to save him.  Though he understood the CDC was trying to save many more lives than just the few in the hospital by preventing an outbreak, he – along with Rikki and those girls – weren’t going to give up on their own lives.  For him, it was different, however.  With the virus already inside him, he would be killed without hope of help.  Rikki and the girls still had a chance.  But what they saw as evilness within him was really just his own attempt to survive.

Chapter Twenty-Three:
Whispers in the Pharmacy

Monday, 6:45pm

It had been a little more than an hour that Georgia, Lorna and Iris had held up in the pharmacy.  Nothing had happened in the nearby area in a while and after the zombies wandered away from the gift shoppe, that end of the first floor got really quiet … quiet enough, in fact, for the girls to take naps in shifts.  And though their naps were short, they were beneficial bits of rest – the girls feeling much better afterwards.

“I don’t suppose we could just stay here and hope that the good guys outside will change their minds and come in and rescue us,” Iris whispered jokingly as she leaned back against the counter they were hiding behind.  “That would be too much to ask for.”

“Yeah.  That’s like an unrealistic dream,” Georgia whispered, putting her arm around Iris and leaning the girl’s head on her shoulder – knowing that Iris was moments away from breaking down again.  “The good guys rescuing us is as likely as finding a guy who doesn’t find the necessity to man-splain everything like we’re stupid and can’t figure things out for ourselves, only then to get butt-hurt when we tell him we already understand whatever it is he is fumbling to try to say.”

Iris snorted with laughter, then covering her mouth and nose to prevent from making further noise.

Chapter Twenty: The Gravest Expense

Monday, 6:15pm

Britney crashed into the front of Chloe, gripping her up by the hair and pushing her back against the walls.

“Run!” Britney screamed down to Rikki, Angelina and Brook.

But running was the one thing they couldn’t do.  Angelina had landed on her right wrist and wasn’t able to scoop Brook up onto her back.  So Brook got up onto her one good foot and held the center railing as she started hopping down the steps, one at a time.  Rikki helped Angelina to her feet, guiding her down the staircase as Angelina held her wrist – feeling quite a bit of excruciating pain.

Chloe put a knee up between Britney’s legs.  Though padded and wearing a diaper, Britney still felt pain from the contact to her groin.  Chloe grabbed the hair on the top of Britney’s head and leaned in to bite her scalp.  But Britney twisted herself around, facing away from Chloe before bending forward and sending Chloe over top of her.  Chloe tumbled down the first half-flight of stairs, then slammed into the wall – taking a few moments to get to her feet and regain her bearings.

Britney looked down at her, still seeing the sorority sister who had taught her so much in such a short amount of time.  Then she had a flashback to Saturday morning at the campground when Chloe laid her down to change her diaper.

… you are a natural leader.  And I can see that, at some point in your life, you will prove this to yourself,” Britney recalled Chloe saying to her – one of many self-esteem boosting remarks received from Chloe.

Chapter Seventeen: In a Word …

Monday, 5:30pm

Lights fired up on the camera of a local television station, shining on a new reporter who stood with the hospital in the background.  The descent of the sun into dimmer evening light had begun.

“Good evening,” the news reporter said, holding a microphone up to her mouth.  “This is Kate Gotwals, reporting to you live from outside Harris Regional Hospital, a medical facility that, until earlier today, had been a place where lives were saved and where the preservation of all who came here for treatment was the primary mission.  But that mission changed this morning when several dozen college-aged females were admitted here, being transported to this hospital from a retreat location – a joint effort from several medical and emergency response teams to get them here in a caravan that numbered at least 20 ambulances, eyewitnesses say.  Details are still sketchy, but it is believed that some of the girls may have been infected with a virus feared to be highly contagious.  And a lot has happened here since they arrived.”

Jaw Dropped and Heart Pounding while Mesmerized by the Vision

There are few times when I am stopped dead in my tracks, these days.  And that’s not to say that what I see no longer has the meaning or effect on me that it once did.

It’s more to say that I’ve seen a lot in the years I’ve been a part of this community of ours – from my own personal and private experiences to more public ones like at munches and conventions.

But every now and then, something comes along that brings me to a screeching halt in whatever I’m doing.  I stop typing on my laptop or stop scrolling through endless amounts of postings and bloggings on sites like Twitter and Tumblr.

When I stumbled across this picture, my jaw dropped … my heart began pounding with the galloping pace of a race horse and I sat back – mesmerized by the vision in front of me.

I’ve written about that scenario depicted in more stories than I can remember, at this point.  In a dramatically less open manner, I have engaged in doing this with … someone … when out-n-about.

It is at the very heart of so many thoughts, so many fantasy that are dreamed of becoming reality.  But there has always been something about this scenario that always kept it realistic only as a fantasy.

Whether it was the struggle between being open-n-happy with one’s self as opposed to being so open that we were thrusting our wishes on others … or if it was a debate about the damage that could be done to the community when someone was so bold as to go so absolutely public with it … or if it was a debate about whether or not the picture was photo-shopped, there has always been something that harbored its greatest pleasure in the fantasy realm only.

And while I understand and agree with the above concerns, I’m happy in knowing that, despite everything, that picture still holds the essence of the Daddy-n-BabyGirl dynamic in my heart.

But wait!  There’s one more thing about this!

When showing this picture to an attendee at a recent L.L.A.M.A. munch, I was informed that there are establishments in the Pacific Northwest that are extremely lifestyle-friendly and that such a sight wouldn’t be shocking in a great many places up there.

I was quite surprised by that, but suddenly had the urge to see the Pacific Ocean for the first time in my life, via Oregon – as it turns out.

Blessings,
Zorro Daddy

Chapter Fourteen: Got Milk?

Monday, 4:45pm

Rikki and the girls sat in the hospital kitchen, lounging on counters and laying on tables as they chowed down on the food and chugged fluid as if their bodies were absent of all liquid.  Yes, they were still on high-alert and paying attention, but it felt good to fully relax for a little while.  And besides, they really had nowhere else to go.

“I didn’t realize how thirsty I was,” Lorna said, sipping from a bottle of water.  “I’m gonna get water-logged like this.”

“Okay … just so I’m right about this … we are still in a hospital, in the food court with deadly zombies all over the place, right?” Brook asked, munching on a chicken salad wrap – Rikki and all the other girls turning and looking at her as she sounded like she was going crazy.  “Hey, I’m just making sure that’s the case.  I was actually hoping that after I ate something that all of this would wind up being hunger hallucinations.  But it doesn’t look like that’s how it’s gonna work out.”

Monday, 3:30pm

“Alright, we won’t be long in here,” Rikki said, walking up to another set of double doors.  “Those creatures are headed this way.”

“How do you know that?” Brook asked from Angelina’s back.

“The doors haven’t been knocked down yet, Sweetie,” Angelina answered.  “So, the zombies haven’t been here yet, but they will be.  They’re knocking down every door they come to.  It makes sense.”

Rikki stuck her key into the door and then slid her ID through the scanner, a double layer of security – implemented whenever a hospital lock down happened.  And it was especially important in this instance as they were entering the maternity ward.

Chapter Eight: Infiltration and the Need

Monday, 2pm

Not having heard anything back from the agents sent to the morgue, the CDC presence outside the hospital convened with the local police force to discuss the next course of action.  More CDC agents were on the way but wouldn’t get there until 5 or 6pm.  And, based on the police band communications from the officers inside the hospital as well as the unquestioning evidence of failure displayed on the hospital camera feeds, their initial efforts to contain a most-deadly virus while maintaining control had been unsuccessful – to say the least about it.

It was determined that, by 5 or 6pm, the virus would have taken over the entire hospital – making the risk of further outbreak a real possibility.  And if that happened, then the anarchy currently infesting Harris Regional Hospital would outbreak with the virus.

In short: a new course of action needed to be taken now, while there was still a chance to salvage their previous efforts.

“Renewed & Reborn”

The BabyGirl got home, took her shoes off and curled up in the fetal position on the couch. She was so tired she didn’t even look for a blanket. And though she was tired, she had never been happier.

Six months ago, she was a broken soul, having come from a relationship which made her feel unappreciated, a family situation which made her feel unimportant and a job which made her feel expendable.

Then three months ago, she met him … Daddy as he would quickly become known to her heart. He took her away from her past and showed her the future she was meant to have.

She spent those first three months regaining her self worth, re-learning what it meant to be loved and experiencing life as the little girl she never got be.

Then a month ago, her Daddy decided she was going to go to college and get the education she knew she had always wanted.

So, this morning, her Daddy woke her up and made her Green Eggs and Bacon … bacon because they didn’t have any ham in the fridge. In the tub she went and then into the schoolgirl outfit her Daddy had picked out for her. She gave him a hug and he kissed her on her forehead before she got in her car and drove to the college for her first day of school.

It was now 4 pm and she was fast asleep on the couch when her Daddy got home from work and found her there.

Her Life was Renewed.
Her Love was Reborn.
And her diaper had never once leaked.

In the morgue, Doctor Glen was still looking at the virus on that glass slide under the microscope.  By now, Jimmy was a complete basket case and nervous wreck, distracting himself by reading a medical journal for infectious diseases they kept in the morgue for reference.  They both knew that CDC agents had arrived on the scene and would be in the morgue any minute.  But the doctor knew that both he and Jimmy could not, under any circumstances, leave that small lab room at the end of the morgue.  They easily could both be infected at that very moment, especially if this strange virus was airborne.  In fact, if it was airborne, everyone in the hospital as well as those new mothers and newborns evacuated, could suddenly be carriers of the disease.

Airborne seemed an unlikely possibility as there were police in the building who weren’t suited for protection against that.  But the fact that the CDC agents had arrived in hazmat suits was definitive indication that there was an extremely serious situation on their hands.

Chapter One:  Living Up to Its Name

Monday, 10am

The ambulance brigade chose the bumpiest road imaginable to take all the sorority baby sisters to the hospital and away from that wretched campground.  Though the situation was looking up for everyone, the fate of each girl still weighed in the balance of far too many uncertainties for anyone to be comfortable with.

In the final ambulance of that endless chain of them, heading to the hospital, was Britney and the blinded Chloe – her beloved pledge mistress and dear friend.  Though needing medical treatment herself, Britney rode in that ambulance with Chloe to keep her company – more than for any medical reason.  Britney was responsible for the loss of one of Chloe’s eyes and felt terrible guilt for this, a guilt that bared down on her shoulders like a boulder.

Kneeling alongside the stretcher bed Chloe was strapped onto, Britney whispered to her – filling her in on every single thing that had happened that weekend.  She was keeping her voice down so the paramedic in the back of that ambulance wouldn’t hear the conversation.  At different moments during Britney’s story, Chloe softly laughed.  And even though her head was bandaged around her eye sockets, Chloe’s face lit up.

“In the end, all it took to bring Ursula down was to push a bottle of pee water down her throat,” Britney said, she and Chloe chuckling.  “So don’t drink the water around here.”

“I sure won’t,” Chloe whispered back with a weakened tone.

“Sweetie,” the paramedic said to Britney.  “You need to come lay down over here.  I need to get an IV in you.”

Britney laid down in the stretcher bed next to Chloe, getting an IV needle put in her arm at the first red light the ambulance came to.  Chloe grew silent, quite sleepy from all the medication that had been pumped into her.  Britney closed her eyes, finally being able to relax.

The Waddling Dead, Season Two – Prologue

Prologue

On a mid-Autumn Friday night, Britney (a freshman student with a full scholarship for gymnastics) and the other seven members of the current pledging class of the Beta-Alpha-Beta sorority at St. Mark College in upstate New York journeyed to a private campground for their final weekend of pledging.

Joined at this campground by the current pledging classes of the Beta Alpha-Beta sorority from seven other New York colleges, the sizable group began a weekend retreat at a rustic location that sat in a valley.  There was no chance of cell phones finding reception or signals.  The road that led in was merely an unrecognizable pathway between trees.  In every sense of the word, they were remote – cut off from the world by design.

To cultivate and encourage scholastics and ethics while promoting self-worth in every sister – the Beta-Alpha-Beta mission statement.

But their methods of achieving this mission, especially the self-worth part, were a bit unorthodox.  They would break a girl down, robbing her of all self-esteem.  Then they would rebuild her back up … the Beta-Alpha-Beta way.  No, this didn’t turn the girls into drones.  Instead, it taught them to rethink what their own self-worth was about.

Insecurity often hampered a girl’s self-esteem.  Competitions could prove damaging.  Ridicule during upbringing often kept a girl’s shoulders slumped and her chin lowered.

So, instead of helping their pledges with morale-boosting counseling, to overcome their issues, the sorority chose to remove those issues altogether – implanting the seed that every girl was unique and powerful … a most emboldening thought and sentiment.

Step one was to start the pledges back at the beginning.  Before they could be sorority sisters, they were known as baby sisters – being dressed and treated accordingly.  For their final weekend of pledging, they wore nothing but diapers and t-shirts, ate with their fingers and kept bonding as they had done the entire pledge period.

But when an old well revealed a deadly virus that had been dormant for a long time, their weekend of pledging quickly became a weekend of survival.  One by one, the baby sisters were turned into zombies.  And as more and more baby sisters were bitten and killed, they would all rise again from the dead to become … the waddling dead.

Power struggles among the living commenced as Britney and her baby sisters tried to stay alive until they were rescued Monday morning.

What would ensue would be exactly what was expected of the weekend, just in a manner completely unexpected.  Self-worth, ethics, uniqueness, value and purpose – those were the cornerstone thoughts that kept the living alive.

In the end, it was Britney who sacrificed herself to battle, outwit and defeat the patient zero zombie, a baby sister named Ursula.  Once Ursula was killed, the virus was killed as well.  And every baby sister who had been bitten and infected was cured.  Britney herself escaped the doom of her own sacrifice, in the nick of time.  The bite she sustained never fully affected her before the virus lifted.

That Monday morning, when their rides arrived to collect them, the carnage that blanketed the campground was a bit difficult to swallow.  The police, paramedics and other emergency personnel were called to the gruesome scene.  Injuries sustained while being infected with the virus began to heal themselves, such as twisted ankles and broken bones.  But some baby sister had permanent injuries, like missing fingers, eyes that had been blinded and the like.  The most gruesome of all was the decapitation of one baby sister’s head.  Those injuries, obviously, would never heal or grow back.

Chloe, the pledge mistress of Britney and the seven other baby sisters from St. Mark College, sustained the loss of both eyes as well as some head trauma that made her condition extremely life-threatening.

A caravan of ambulances covered the length of a quarter mile as the baby sisters were taken to a nearby hospital.

Everyone believed the nightmare was over, that the waddling dead virus would never again surface into this world from that old well.  But they would quickly learn that their time at Harris Regional Hospital would be anything but a time of respite and recovery.

Pardon My Silence

It’s been a quiet July 2018 … at least on this website.  But there’s a reason for it.  And if you will pardon my silence a bit longer, I promise you August 2018 will be extremely noisy as I am currently writing The Waddling Dead, Season 2.

Written as 30 episodes (or parts), I will post one episode a day in The Waddling Dead group on FetLife and I will also be posting the episodes in groupings on this website throughout next month.

For now, you can read The Waddling Dead, Season One on FetLife or here on this website.

I hope everyone’s summer is going well.

Blessings,
Zorro Daddy
