As Sweet as Heaven – Part Two

Destiny sat there, curled up in a ball and enjoying the wealth of affection that clearly emitted from the seeming glow in her skin and twinkle in her eyes.  While walking back and forth from the kitchen table to the stove, Victor glanced over at her, giving her a wink and letting her know he was aware that she was watching him.  And maybe that simple glance from him shouldn’t have meant the world to her.  But little minds like her were affected by little things.  Details made so much seem more grand and larger than life, like Victor’s care of her and how she hadn’t spent more than a few minutes away from a white hot attention she hadn’t felt in a long time.

She could smell the food and though the apple juice had helped her to wake up while satisfying her tummy for the past few minutes, it was time to eat.  Thankfully, Victor somehow knew that she was done with hunger.  He returned to the sink, opened the second drawer to the left of it, taking out a bib and a length of ribbon.  The bib she understood, but the ribbon she didn’t quite know the purpose of yet.  It didn’t really matter to her, though.  Whatever it was for, she’d find out.  Her Daddy was walking up to her and that was the most important thing at the moment.

As Sweet as Heaven – Part One

Destiny gently opened her eyes.  The soft beams of late afternoon shining on the ceiling above allowed her sight to peacefully adjust to light.  At first, her thoughts only went skin-deep as she felt the softness she was surrounded by – from the crib sheet beneath her to the comforter which covered her to the diaper around her waist that she still hadn’t wet.  The sense of touch was one which sometimes overpowered all the others and she knew that if all she could do was feel – not see or speak or smell or hear, she would have more to sense than she had ever before.

Destiny and Day One.

That is what Rock-a-Bye BabyGirls: The Stories of Time is all about.  Thus begins a two-part tale of a girl who decided to pursue the true meaning of her name.

Destiny had been a scholastic student, graduating with honors and finding it easy to analyze what other people dreamed about.  But on this day, Day One, she pursued the wishes of her own heart.  Everything she had every done in life always came with a risk of danger, in a sense.  And this included the pursuit of an emotion she knew to be more than just an off-the beaten path fetish.  It was a way of life, a way of think, a way of feeling and loving and relating.  On this day, she crosses the final threshold into littleness to find that it was okay to follow, even if she didn’t know where she was being led.  With the loving guidance of Victor, her prized find and Daddy, she becomes enabled to focus in on the tiniest of details and simplest of emotions.

Day One shows the culmination of every pursuit that matters and how sometimes you just need to go for it.  Her will and thoughts get in the way, but as Victor melts her heart and instill instincts in her soul, she becomes the BabyGirl that destiny had waiting for her.

Awaiting Destiny

When you meet someone new, you are suddenly thrust into an awakening of your emotions.  As you get to know that new someone, your emotions heighten or lessen – based on how that new person makes you feel about yourself.  Intrigue becomes the cornerstone of a pursuit that, when left to grow naturally, leads to a simple, innocent crush.  And, in what may seem like a blur, you find yourself reflecting on two things:  The Passing of Time and First Memories.

Each holds a special place in your heart, and while following instinct, you await your destiny.
