Episode 26Episode Twenty-Six: Do or Die

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List )

Sunday evening, 8:30 pm

All that was left of the living was Georgia, Angelina and Britney, save for Rebecca and Brook in the canoe on the back lake.  But they were out of commission and couldn’t help.  So, the fate of everyone at that campground rested on the shoulders of three.

Britney walked out from around the back of the pool house, making such noise that anything, dead or alive, would hear her.  She moved in the direction of the dining hall, taking very slow steps.  She wasn’t waddling, since they were out of diapers.  But she kept her pace very slow, so as to draw the waddling dead out.  In order for this plan to work, she needed to draw as many of zombies out as possible.  And it was essential that Hillary was among them.  Without Hillary, all hope was lost.  And Britney would be as good as dead herself.

Episode Twenty-Five: Mudslide

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List )

Sunday afternoon, 5:30 pm

“Brit Brit!” Brook exclaimed as Britney walked into the pool house, everyone staring in shock at her muddy appearance as well as the wounds on her surfaces.

“Is Hillary finally dead?” Angelina asked, wetting a paper towel in the sink and trying to wipe Britney’s face with it.

“No, don’t!” Britney said, stepping back – everyone continuing to give her a united look of confusion.  “I have a lot to tell you, girls.”

Nothing was making accumulated sense to the Eclectics.  But there was an unspoken belief in that pool house that wasn’t unfamiliar to them.  They once again saw Britney as their leader.  Clearly, she had proven her role in the group, going so far as to put her own life in danger to protect the rest of her baby sisters.

Britney got a bottle of water from the one small backpack and began to drink from it.

“Okay, everybody get comfortable,” she said, beginning to pace back and forth in front of the Eclectics as they all took a seat.

Episode Twenty-Four: The Missing Piece

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List )

Sunday afternoon, 4:30 pm

Hillary lunged at Britney and Britney stepped out of the way, back-handing her at the base of her neck with the wooden club.  Hillary hit the ground again, but stood back up without delay.  The trickles of rain turned to a downpour, so heavy that the trees of the woods couldn’t keep it out.  And as they stood facing each other, eyeing up their adversary like two Brahma bulls, lightning struck in the distance.

A sense of pride took Britney over and she became the aggressor.  It was no longer about self-defense.  That type of mentality would only lead to death.  Stepping forward, she swung the club – connecting with side of Hillary’s head and knocking her down.  Standing over her body, Britney swung the club again, this time cracking her jaw and dislocating it.  Hillary wouldn’t be biting anyone.

Raising the club again, she delivered a blow to Hillary’s left temple and then another one to her jaw.  Hillary turned over onto her stomach, trying to crawl away.  But Britney brought the club down on the back of Hillary’s skull, flipping her back over and raising the club again to jab it down into her eyes.

Episode Twenty-Three: Fortitude

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List )

Sunday afternoon, 4:00 pm

Angelina eased Brook down onto a soft patch of grass, shaded by the leaves above.  And as the tapes at her hips were unfastened, Brook looked up at the treetops.  They hardly moved for the lack of any breeze that day so far, but they still allowed trickles of sunlight to leak down through.  Though there was nothing serene about their situation, there was a harmony Brook felt with the moment – everything seeming to move in slow-motion and allowing her frazzled mind to keep up with the gentle pace.  It was like a lullaby without words or music, but with all those things that made it so alluring.

“That’s a good girl,” Brook heard Angelina’s voice whisper as she lifted Brook’s legs up into the air – sliding the wet diaper away.

Britney kept a lookout, facing towards main camp and studying the movements of the waddlers in the distance.  There was a pattern to their movements, to their motivations.  And she could almost figure it out, if she could only get one step ahead of their thoughts.

Episode Twenty-Two: When Followers Chase

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List )

Sunday afternoon, 3:30 pm

The sweltering heat of the day had reached such a fevered temperature that it hurt to breathe.  Georgia, Lorna and Iris waddled along, each of their steps growing smaller and less productive than the ones before.  Carrying Rebecca on that makeshift stretcher didn’t make anything easier for them.

But Rebecca seemed to be holding up well, given her horrific circumstance.  She didn’t feel much pain at all, but also didn’t have much control of her movements.  So perhaps her neck wasn’t broken.  Maybe it was just a spinal injury or maybe there had been some sort of nerve damage.  There was no way Georgia could really tell.  She was a pre med student and was knowledgeable on a lot, but didn’t know everything.  Immobilizing Rebecca was far more important than a proper diagnosis, given where they were and where they would be until the following morning when help arrived.

They walked all over those woods, getting so lost at points that they had to stop to readjust their bearings.  They got so overheated that they stopped to rest in the shade, from time to time.  And all four of them were growing more and more dehydrated, the longer the day went.

Episode Twenty-One: A Sense of Focus

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List )

Sunday, noon

Georgia, Rebecca, Lorna and Iris had made no serious headway in finding the road out of that valley.  Walking around in presumable circles for what seemed like hours, they were also growing exhausted – the heat of the day getting warmer and fueling the tension.

For spans of time, they followed Rebecca as she seemed to have endless determination in finding the road.  But then Rebecca would suddenly stop walking, too angry to continue looking.  Standing there, they would listen to Rebecca complain about Britney’s arrogance in leadership and how she had ruined everything.

“You know, if we had left this camp at the first sign of trouble, Yara wouldn’t be dead right now,” Rebecca said with a forked tongue.  “And Britney had the nerve to accuse Hillary of having killed people!”

Episode Twenty: Bittersweet

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List )

Sunday morning, 10:00 am

It was now mid-morning and it appeared all the waddling dead had stirred awake, but there was no telling or knowing if the zombies slept at night.  Sitting on a branch of a birch tree that was growing part-way up on a hillside, Brook had a bird’s eye view of the campground.  And from what she could see, the waddling dead had killed everyone.

There was no sign of Rebecca, Lorna, Iris and Georgia – the half of the Eclectics who broke away and stormed off.  There was also no sign of Hillary, Heather, Raquel, Denise and Eva – the Horde baby sisters from Orthica College who had joined forces with the Eclectics so suddenly and then left them in the same quick fashion.

Tears streamed down Brook’s face.  Yara was dead.  So many others were dead, too.  And, save for 12 baby sisters she knew of who were still okay, every other person on that campground was infected with this zombie virus.

They were cut off from the outside world.  Phone lines didn’t work.  There was no cell phone signal to be found anywhere on that property and it was a waiting game.  True, there was only 24 hours left before rescue.  But no matter where they hid, no matter where they ran and no matter what they did, the waddling dead found a way to get to them.  And it seemed these zombies somehow knew the closing window of time as well.  On top of everything, the temperature was already sweltering by 9 am.

Episode Nineteen: Battle at Dawn

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List )

Sunday morning, 8:30 am

Hillary and Britney took the final shift of standing guard, from 4 am until dawn light at 6.  But the camp seemed very quiet that morning with no sounds of any stirring at all on the outside.  There were no disgusting groans from the waddling dead, no screams of pain from the latest and current victims as they were eaten alive.  And for this reason, Hillary and Britney decided to let the group sleep.  There was still a full day ahead before their rescue on Monday morning.

This one-on-one time with Hillary also gave Britney a chance to collect a little more information that might prove useful.

Zombie Art

When I started writing The Waddling Dead, I envisioned what a sorority pledge might look like when turned into a zombie while wearing a diaper, a crop top with poofy short sleeves and high pigtails.

As with everything I write, the faces of the main characters are usually those of certain people I have met within the ABDL community.  But this time around, that wasn’t the case as I don’t know of any zombie BabyGirl in the community.

I was very touched when Chizabelle from FetLife drew this bit of fan art, doing an incredible job of following the description I gave of the zombies in the story.  So I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Chizabelle for being so thoughtful as to draw this.

The Waddling Dead can be read here: The Episode List

And also on The Waddling Dead Group on FetLife

Thank you, Chizabelle, for your wonderful zombie art and your kindness.

Blessings,

Zorro Daddy

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List )

Saturday evening, 8:30 pm

They took no time at all in turning that cabin inside out – locking the door and the windows, pushing the bunk beds up against the walls and pulling every supply they could find into the middle of the room. – just as dusk was beginning to darken into night time.

“Okay, just so you’re aware, I’m not putting another fucking diaper on!” Heather of the Horde said as Britney handed diapers out to everyone.  “Pissing on that banshee thing we held down in the field didn’t work.  She didn’t die.  So you can shove those diapers up your ass for all I care.”

Episode Seventeen: The Ultimate Alpha Female

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List)

Saturday evening, 8:00 pm

Brook poured a handful of the pain killers into her palm and downed them all at once, then chugging the entire bottle of water.

“Okay!” Angelina shouted, wrapping her arms more tightly around Brook while giving her a piggy-back ride.  “Whenever we stop running, Brook gets the first diaper!”

Brook snorted with laughter and then wrapped her arms around Angelina’s neck to keep from falling off.

“Angelina, you know Brook pees a little when she laughs, right?” Britney asked her.  “Jokes are not advisable when she’s on your back.”

“I’m not joking.  She gets the first diaper,” Angelina said, then laughing herself.  “Don’t you pee on me, Brook.”

The playful banter of the group may have seemed out of place, given that they were running away from a zombie horde that presumably number in the 30s or 40s.  But nothing normal had become the mode of operations and their mode of survival.  Having moments of laughter might well have been the only thing that kept any of them sane.

Saturday evening, 7:00 pm

Britney gripped the back of her head, the blow having felt like it was delivered by a sledgehammer.  Though thankfully not bleeding, she would now need some of the pain killers she was to get for Brook.

Turning over onto her back, she squinted her eyes – trying to make out any features of the dark-shadowed figure who had just struck her.  She was ready for a battle and ready to kill that person, no matter what it took.  But the shadowy figure wasn’t advancing on her, simply standing back in the darkness and observing.  Britney more or less expected the battle to begin at this point.  And the delay seemed to have no explanation at all.  So instead of waiting for an explanation and potentially regretting her lack of haste, she took action.

“Lorna, nothing is going to attack me inside our cabin.  All the zombies are below us right now, aside from a few random wanders somewhere on this campground,” Britney reassured her.  “But if it will make you feel better, show me this self-defense stuff.”

Saturday evening, 6:00 pm

It had been hours since the Eclectics had climbed up into that red oak tree and at this point, not a single one of them could’ve even guessed what time it was.  But from the gathering of zombies at the base of that tree, it looked like they were going to lose sense of a lot more time before they could ever climb down.

The worst part of it all was the visual of Yara’s dead zombified body on the ground, being trampled all over by the other zombie waddlers who were reaching up towards the Eclectics from around the trunk of the tree.  Yara was their baby sister, one of the Eclectic Eight.  But now, she was gone.  Brook sat directly above Yara on an outstretching branch, weeping over her fallen friend below as Georgia tended to her right ankle.

Saturday morning, 11:00 am

Georgia, Lorna, Angelina and Britney raced from the dining hall porch over to a bush, just a short distance away that stood between two trees.  It had a rather thick covering of jagged thorns all around it.

“Are you alright, Britney?” Georgia asked, directing them to the back of the bush where a small opening allowed them to crawl inside it.

Britney crawled in, seeing the Eclectics huddled inside it already.  Everyone was shaking like a leaf, but none worse that Brook.

“Britney.  Britney?  BRITNEY!” Georgia shouted, getting Britney’s attention.  “Are you alright?”

“I’m okay.  But Chloe isn’t,” Britney said, snapping back to the moment.  “And you were right, Georgia.  These … things can’t be killed by stabbing them in the head.”

Still leaning back on the kitchen door, Britney didn’t move a muscle – hearing several of the waddling dead beginning to totter into the dining hall behind that kitchen door.  They grunted and groaned and made lots of disgusting noises that sounded as hideous as they looked.  But Britney’s frozen position wasn’t primarily because of them.  It was more so because of the zombie girl in the kitchen at that very moment.

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List )

Saturday morning, 10:30 am

The seven Eclectics sprinted towards the dining hall, Britney leading the way and swinging her wooden club like she was Conan the Barbarian.  Her first few strikes were to the three zombie bitches on the ground that she had paralyzed a few minutes ago.  They were still dead, but they wouldn’t be waddling anymore.

The group stayed close behind her, Angelina having scooped up Brook and carried her since Brook was shorter than everyone else and wouldn’t have been able to run as fast.  Clearing a pathway, Britney took out another six waddlers, breaking knee caps and trying to kill with more blows to the head – to no success.

“I’m telling you, Britney.  We need things like knives,” Lorna shouted as they drew nearer to the dining hall.  “You’ve got to stab through their skulls to kill them.  It’s the only way!”

“Shut up, Lorna!” Georgia said with heavy breathing as they all got to the dining hall and stopped to catch their breaths.  “That’s what they say to do in a TV show!  It doesn’t mean it works.”

Saturday morning, 10:15 am

The cabin door opened.  Georgia, Iris and Rebecca carried Yara’s body over to the bed in the middle of the room.  Brook stood at the door and waited for the other three, watching them battle the advancing waddlers.  Wrapping the sheet from that middle bed around Yara, Georgia instructed the girls to get all the bed sheets and blankets they could find in the cabin.  Iris and Rebecca moved quickly, grabbing anything they could find and helping Georgia wrap Yara up until the lifeless girl looked like a mummy.

“Is this gonna help?” Iris asked, still quite shaken from the whole ordeal in the dining hall as well as seeing Yara in an unresponsive state.

“I hope so,” Georgia said, looking around the small cabin and then over to the bathroom.  “Here, help me carry her over to the bathroom.  There are heaters in there that come out of the floor.”

Episode Nine: Chloe’s Sacrifice

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List)

Saturday morning, 10 am

The waddling dead closed in on the surviving baby sisters and their sorority leaders.  The living outnumbered the dead by two to one, but it didn’t appear to matter.  All it took was one bite from these zombified waddlers and there would be no living at all.

“Do you think this will help, Chloe?” Lorna the criminal justice major asked, holding up the sorority paddle that Loretta had used to spank the girls – having set it off in the corner of the room afterwards.

“Good girl,” Chloe said, praising Lorna for having thought ahead and grabbing the paddle when it was still possible to do so.  “Do I think it will help?  Hell, yes.  I think will help!”

“But is it gonna break if we swing it at them?” Lorna asked.  “I’ve taken self-defense classes, but it doesn’t mean I can hit home runs.”

Chloe took the paddle and looked at it, handing off the catatonic and bleeding Yara to Brook to hold up with Britney.  The paddle had a little weight to it, but not so much that it couldn’t be wielded with ease.

“I think Loretta told me this is a Devilish Design paddle,” Chloe said, then looking for the closest exit in the room as she cooked up a plan.  “And if that’s the case, then Hulk Hogan would have to swing this thing before it would break.”

Saturday morning, 9:45 am

Ursula lunged and hit the center table in the dining hall, flipping it up and sending it flying towards the kitchen entrance.  Baby sisters who were nearby scattered in all directions – save for the one unlucky sweetheart who was too close to get away in time.  Ursula grabbed the girl’s ponytail, yanking her head back.  Scanning the room, Ursula saw dozens of further victims.  They backed up slowly, not believing what they were seeing and not knowing what to do.  Lowering her chin, Ursula glared them all down.  The baby sister in her grasp was sobbing, wanting to try to get away but also not wanting to be hurt by this creature that used to be Ursula.  Everyone watched as Ursula grabbed the girl’s right shoulder, yanking the girl’s head to the side and sinking her teeth into that area between the girl’s shoulder and neck.

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List)

Saturday morning, 9:30 am

As the rest of the group made it to the far end of the trail and headed back to main camp, Ursula struggled her way back to the entrance of the trail, her stomach cramp now having worsened and now including an area from her abdomen up to her sternum.  The dizziness had returned and her waddly steps were even more so as she collapsed to the ground.  At least she had made it back to the clearing with the well.  Crawling over to the well, she got up on her knees and placed her hands on the side of the well.  Pushing on it, she managed to get to her feet.

But when she stood up, she saw the bucket sitting on the top ledge of the well.  Turning and looking back in the direction she had just come from, she pieced together how Hillary must have poisoned her.  That had to be well water she drank from her baby bottle.  Hillary was the one who picked it up and brought it back to her after rejoining the group and extending a now-confirmed lie of apology.

Ursula didn’t believe the tall tale of the well water, but there didn’t seem to be any other explanation for her sudden sickness.  Her symptoms were not common ones when welcoming the arrival of her monthly visitor.  There was something very wrong with her and her condition was worsening very quickly.

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List)

Saturday morning, 8:45 am

Crinkle.  Crinkle.  Crinkle.

The sounds of more than five dozen hips waddling along filled the air as everyone made their way over to the entrance of the nature trail.  Britney looked up at the canopy of leaves above and then all around the campground, marveling over how bright the daytime seemed there – given how pitch-black it got after dusk.

The group wandered down a skinny trail that got skinnier as they went into a thicker patch of trees.  Most of the baby sisters were pulling in their arms and shrinking up their shoulders in an attempt to not make contact with any of the bushes or leaves along the trail.  Britney lowered her chin, concentrating on not smiling too brightly behind her pacifier.  It was just that some of the girls were behaving with such tantrum responses, it was hard to not smile or laugh.

But getting into a clearing just ahead, the smiles and laughter came to a screeching halt.  In the middle of that clearing was a well, made of stone with a little wooden roof.  There was a pulley system attached to a metal bar, with a rope going down into the well that presumably was attached to a bucket.  Everyone gathered around the well, eyeing up what the little sign said next to it:  Don’t Drink The Water!!

(Start with Episode One or Visit the Episode List)

Saturday morning, 7:30 am

Britney woke up gently as the morning sun cascaded in through the cabin window, adding a bit more warmth to her body.  She was already enveloped in a sleeping bag that had kept her toasty comfy all night.  Her nightie was cottony soft and she had grown fond of the softened comfort a diaper brought to the middle of her body.  Sitting up slowly, she took the pacifier out of her mouth and yawned as she stretched her arms and back.  For as lousy of a mattress as she had slept on, her slumber had been quite restful.

Looking around the cabin, she saw others waking up and heard the shower already in use by one of the eight.  Chloe had been up for a while, having already showered and dressed.  She was keeping an eye on the time and moving the baby sisters closer to being ready to go.

“High ponytails today, babies!” Chloe said, making up eight sets of the outfits they would wear that day.  “Breakfast is at 8 a.m.  And I don’t want this to turn into another lateness problem like we had last weekend at the sorority house party.  Get yourselves ready and don’t give me excuses that you need more time!”

Britney smiled warmly, plunking her pacifier back in her mouth as she crawled out of her sleeping bag and swung her legs over the side of her top bunk.  Hopping down to the floor, she waddled over to Chloe’s bed – where the eight outfits had been laid out for the girls.

Trying to hold back laughter as she picked up her outfit, she practically spit her pacifier out at the sight of the loose-fitting pink crop top.  It was so tiny she wandered if Yara would even be able to get her boobs to stay inside it.  Yara was a bit taller than the rest of them and had the most endowment for sure.  Picking up the ruffled pink panties, Britney closed her eyes – trying desperately to not laugh at that point.  Even the panties would be loose-fitting for how big they were.  This was probably a good thing as they would be going over diapers anyway.

When one of the five senses are taken away, the other four always compensate – giving the human mind the amount of incoming messages it is used to receiving.  Their blindfolded ride in that van was quiet, save for the noises of turn signals, acceleration and the random chatting of Sherry and Chloe.  The air inside the vehicle had turned a little chilly, bring goosebumps to the surfaces of the eights’ bodies.  It was eerie.

Then the roadway got rough, abandoning the smoothing rolling on macadam and heading down what the pledges assumed was a bumpy back road.  None of them said a word, instead listening carefully to the conversation between Sherry and Chloe – hoping they might reveal something about where they were headed and what could be expected.

Then the van began down an extremely steep slope, the road becoming bumpier than before.  And the pledges got the sense that they were in the middle of nowhere when the van finally came to a stop.

“Alright! We need to hurry this up!” Chloe exclaimed, walking even more quickly and forcing the eight to take longer strides – crinkling up an even noisier storm as they tried to keep up with her.  “We have three more things to get. So keep moving, babies!”

Britney looked down at her list, item #7 seeming like it would produce the greatest amount of embarrassment for her.  She had never bought it before.  She had certainly used it before, but it was always bought by someone else.  Suddenly, the line came to a screeching halt.  But Britney, who was still looking at her list, walked right into the back of Angelina.  She then fell backwards to the ground and the contents of her red basket spilled out onto the floor.  All the guys who were following them and taking videos came rushing over.  They all began recording Britney crawling around on the floor in a diaper and t-shirt as she picked up all the girly items and put them back in her basket.

“Okay!” Chloe stated, Britney getting back in line.  “Condoms!”

“Line up.  Face forward,” Chloe instructed, the girls filing out of the van and standing shoulder-to-shoulder alongside it.  “Now, we can’t be long in the store.  We have to be at the campground by 8:30 pm.”

Thank goodness for that.

“As with other trips out into public, the rules remain the same,” Chloe explained with a stern voice.  “Your pacifiers stay in your mouths, until you are asked a question.  Understood?”

“Yes, Mistress Chloe,” the girls said in unison, having taken the pacifiers out of their mouths and then returning them back between their lips after their response.

“You do not lower your eyes … ever,” Chloe said with an even sterner tone.  “You are almost Beta-Alpha-Beta sisters.  And we do not cater to our insecurities.  We charge straight through them.”

Sherry walked down the line, one at a time – placing her right hand on the diapered undercarriage of each girl.  Chloe awaited Sherry’s report before continuing.

“No one needs changed … yet,” Sherry said, looking at Brooke – then back to Chloe.

“Face the van and bend over,” Chloe instructed, the girls doing so – their padded derrieres sticking up in the air.

Episode One: Knowing the Unknown

Friday evening, 7:00 pm

Britney sat perfectly still, her knees bent and her feet flat on the edge of the seat.  With her arms wrapped around her legs, she rested her chin on her knee caps.  A lot was going through her mind just then, sitting in the second seat back in that 10-passenger van.  But the one thing that wasn’t going through her mind was how in 3 days’ time, her entire world would change.  And life as she knew it would never be the same, not for her or for any of the other seven pledges in her sorority class who were in that passenger van with her.

Sitting in the seat in front of her were Brooke and Angelina.  Sitting next to her was Yolanda, a student from Brazil.  In the seats behind her were Georgia, Iris, Rebecca and Lorna.

Together, they were The Eclectic Eight, the current pledge class of the Beta-Alpha-Beta sorority chapter at St. Mark College in upstate New York.  This was the final week of their pledging period, a span of time that had lasted a month – not just a week.  And for this, their final weekend of pledging, they were being taken to a hole-in-the-woods campground that had been recently purchased by a member of the very first Beta-Alpha-Beta sorority class of 35 years ago.
