My thoughts on the subject and on life itself.

The “Littleness” of 300,000

300kWhen I started this blog and this page, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.  Proudly I say, after 20 months, countless gallons of Iced Tea and my Ps & Qs share of Guinness, I still have absolutely no idea what I’m doing – only that it felt really good two days ago, when I crossed over 300,000 views.

At first, that may seem like a lot, but considering that Riley Kilo is into the millions and Mako Allen & the Podcast he co-hosts have cleared a million downloads, there’s quite a bit of littleness to 300,000.  But it’s not the same littleness that melts  me like what I see in my beloved Espy‘s eyes, though it does hold a similar feel of admiration.

Years ago, when I began the Zeke & Lily Series, I scoured the internet, looking for ABDL sites where I could post their story – one chapter at a time.  What I found were a lot of small sites, making valiant efforts to duplicate the Godfather DPF.com.  Each of those early ABDL site (most of which no longer exist) had something to share  and it was something we all longed for.

Recently, Espy picked out a song which we call ours.  In that song, the lyrics speak of having something to share but needing someone to share it with.  Those lyrics are: But these stories don’t mean anything when you’ve got no one to tell them to.  It’s true.  I was made for you.  Having something is wonderful. But when you choose to do something with what you have,  when you choose to share it with others, you find purpose.

Maybe the beauty of 300,000 isn’t that big, but it grows and I have been blessed to share my heart with a wonderful BabyGirl who does something with what she has and I’ve been able to share my stories since the day I created an account on ABY.com.

From the first book:  Gabriel & Gina: When Fantasy Became Her Reality to the most recent one:  Sticky Situations 4, I have never forgotten that sharing is only possible when you have someone to receive it.  And that never happens without the help of others.  I will never forget to say thank you.

Thank you.  Thank you to Espy for giving me something back that I thought was lost for good.  Thank you to what I perceive to be 75,ooo visitors.  Thank you to  Riley Kilo & Mako Allen for showing me that little fish will grow when you realize that it takes action to cause a reaction.  Thank you to other ABDL authors like Sarah Tyr, Emma Valentine, Lauren Kay, Devon Shire, Chris Stevens and Colin Milton who share what they write and tumble and tweet and bring to life in the written reality of fantasy.

Blessings,
Zorro Daddy

When Want Met Need

22“Daddy, let me tell you the difference between want and need,”  the BabyGirl said with conviction, hugging the enormous teddy bear in the middle of the COSTCO warehouse.  “Want is selfish, when you only think of yourself. Need is when you think of others, not of yourself.”

Stopping to collect her thoughts, she nibbled on her lower lip, fidgeting a bit before continuing.

“Now, this may be really confusing, but I’m going to explain why I was not being selfish at all when I said that I wanted this teddy bear,”  the BabyGirl continued.  “I know that I just said that want is selfish, but this is a special situation where it’s not selfish.  And we were very lucky to be here today to prevent a horrible, cruel thing from continuing to happen.”

“This teddy bear had been shoved into the back of the bottom rack of the stuffies-n-toys aisle over there,”  she continued, pointing to the aisle.  “And I had to get down on my hands and knees to crawl all the way to the back to get the teddy bear out.  No one was ever going to see this teddy bear all the way back there and if no one ever saw this teddy bear, then no one would ever buy him and he would never be able to fulfill his purpose in this world.”

A grin formed on her Daddy’s face.  He could see how his BabyGirl had already bonded with the enormous teddy bear.  And he knew she had already made the decision, but he stood silent and allowed her to continue to explain the true meanings of want and need.

“Now,” she continued, coming ever-closer to the point.  “I realize the practicalities of the size of this teddy bear, but I assure you we will figure it out.  The most important thing is very simple.”

She started rocking back and forth on the soles of her feet.

“I, myself, didn’t realize the difference between want and need until the teddy bear explained it to me,”  she said, fidgeting tremendously.  “You see, when I crawled back there and pulled the teddy bear out, he said thank you to me.  And that was very nice of him to say.  But then he told me that he needed someone to love and all that was missing was someone who wanted him.”

She stopped rocking back and forth as her fidgeting ceased and her puppy dog eyes came out, gazing up at her Daddy as she began to well up with tears.

“And that was the reason why I told you I wanted him,” she said with a shaky voice.  “It’s because he needs me.”

She hugged the teddy bear tightly and turned away, expecting to hear her Daddy say no, followed by some reason she knew she wasn’t going to accept.

“And that is the reason why he’s coming home with us,”  her Daddy said without anymore hesitation.  “I think his size is perfect for the size of your heart.”

here is a story about getting all that you want, only to realize it was far more than you could handle.  Now, the one hope you can cling to is that your memories will be as gratifying as what actually happened.

Popcorn & Stilettos

Unissa sat on the subway, looking up at the map of the Metro orange line.  One stop to go.  Thank God!  For as much as she had become comfortable and ingratiated with Boston, the subways were still a little scary for her.  She was a far simpler girl who came from a far simpler place and becoming overwhelmed was as easy as breathing.

Unissa was a foreign exchange student from Lithuania who had worked her way and made it to Harvard University in Boston.  She resided in Straus Hall, a freshmen dormitory.  But she wasn’t a freshman.  The credits she was able to transfer made her a junior by count and she should’ve been living in Harvard’s housing system like all the other upperclassmen, but because she was a late registrant for the semester, she had to take what they had available.  Thankfully, she got a private dorm room as consolation.

Unissa was an exceedingly brilliant girl, but she had spent her whole life somewhere that didn’t allow her to question anything.  America had taken care of that.  Her short time in Boston had opened her up and she was going hog-wild.  From drinking to dressing far less conservatively to so many other new things, she was exploring every little nuance she had and even some she knew nothing about until the internet showed her.  As she discovered, her shades numbered far higher than 50 and most were from fetishes she had told no one about.  Back in Lithuania, she wouldn’t dare let on that she liked any of these things.  That would equal a judgmental shrewdness from friends and family that would probably have destroyed her self-esteem.

The last thing she thought about before drifting off to sleep

Moments from sleep, she had so many wondrous things to fill her mind.  But it wasn’t the crib, the pretty clothing, the diapers, the stuffies, the pacifiers or anything in this seemingly wonderland birthday present her Daddy gave her that came to the forefront of her mind as her eyelids drooped to half-mast.

The last thing she thought about before drifting off to sleep was how natural it all felt.  Her Daddy always told her that he could see in her eyes that her heart never left the nursery.  And now, the nursery had returned.

——————————-

… and then her Daddy gushed.

23She had spent all of last night, thinking about him. It’s how she spent every night and how she spent every day, too.

But when she went to sleep, she knew that when she awoke, her Daddy would be there.  And that made her feel better than any bliss that chocolate could provide, more glowing than any candle lit room could be illuminated by, more emotional than any tear-jerking girly flick could make her, happier than when finding all the bargains at the mall, more excited than when she awaited his return texts, more peaceful than she felt in a bubble bath & so overcome with littleness she tingled all over as she dreamt.

She startled awake when she heard her Daddy unlock the front door.  Sitting up, she frantically searched her bed sheets for her pacifier and then she found her pose – pretty in pink and glowing.

Her Daddy walked in and his face lit up with an adoration that words could do no justice in conveying.  Seeing that passion in his eyes, her heart beat more strongly than when her breath had been taken away.  He walked over to her and she could see in his irises that she meant more to him than life itself.  Her Daddy  welled up with tears …

… and then her Daddy gushed.

All She Ever Asked …

He couldn’t have been more proud of her.  She had been such a little angel all day.  And having pride in her was something she constantly renewed within him each & every day.

She made it easy to love her and she never asked for anything in return other than to be loved just the same.

She never fussed about what she didn’t have.  Instead, she cherished what was all ready hers.  When something upset her, she took out her pacifier and told her Daddy what was wrong.  She listened to her Daddy and knew that what he told her to do was what was best for her.  Thank you weren’t words her told her to say.  They were words that came directly from her little heart.

As her Daddy undressed her for her bath, he asked her to hop up into her crib while he went to check on her bath water.  She promised to stay in her crib until he returned.  When her Daddy came back, she had fallen asleep on top of the enormous teddy bear he had won for her at a carnival last summer.  And she had fallen asleep in the exact same position she often fell asleep in on top of him.

Her bath would wait until the morning.  There was no way he was going to move her.  She was too adorable to be disturbed.

She made it easy to love her and all she ever asked was the same.

The Daddy Rock

The Rock and HoganNo, not that “Rock”, although I couldn’t help but take advantage of the opportunity to put a picture of him up on my site.  And what’s better?  It’s a picture of The Rock with Hulk Hogan, my second favorite childhood hero, behind Zorro, of course.

But I’m quite certain there are a lot of littles out there who have fantasized about The Rock being their “Daddy”.  And it may not necessarily be about how handsome he is or his muscles or that raised eyebrow he gives his opponents or how he always seems to know exactly what to say at the right moment to say it.

Perhaps what makes someone like The Rock so appealing is that he’s consistent about what he does.  He is solid … like a rock.

Whether we recognize it or not, life seems to go in circles.  And though we may not always keep the same routine each day, we do find ourselves doing a lot of the same things on a regular basis, feeling the same emotions and facing challenges eerily similar to something we conquered yesterday.

But when those circles of life suddenly spin out of control, nothing seems familiar anymore.  This is when challenges become road blocks, emotions become daggers and the simplest of routines become impossible to keep doing.

And when that happens, what is one thing we need, the one thing we cling to?

Now I lay me down to sleep …

Lil Rapunzel

Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray my BabyGirl you keep
so safe that nightmares wouldn’t dare
to enter her mind and give her a scare

And if they do, I pray you’ll show
my BabyGirl the way to go
to find the pathway as it gleams
and leads her back to sweeter dreams

If dreams won’t come before she wakes,
I pray you’ll make her heart not ache.
Please watch over my BabyGirl.
She’s all that matters in this world.

The Maker of Differences

It had been an exhausting day and this little angel had been a fluster of overwhelming emotions since she awoke that morning.

Days like this one were particularly frustrating because she had no real idea why she was upset one minute and why she was fine the next.  And the struggle to find that reason was just as exhausting as dealing with the emotions produced.

But whether it was a good moment or a bad one, her Daddy remained the only constant force in her life that she could depend on not changing.  And until she found the balance needed within to settle back into the little world he created and kept her in, she wouldn’t be able to tell him how grateful she was that he hadn’t left her for because of the inner trial she suddenly faced.

Falling asleep after her bath and feeling the warm milk in her belly taking its effect, she drifted off into her dreamland, knowing tomorrow was only a long blink and she’d awaken to the love that today had tested but failed to destroy.

And that made all the difference.

here is the story of a college girl who braved the Big Easy, wound up in a bar called “The Creole Crawl” & found two things she had never known before …

who she was and where she belonged.

Warning:  This ain’t no Daddy/BabyGirl story.

Taming Wild Horses –

Thursday night and The Creole Crawl was packed & jumping.  It was a big night for college drinking and this bar, being a few blocks from main campus, made it a hot spot in the French Quarter of New Orleans.  From sports jocks to sorority sweeties, the glasses were tipping to the ale, the asses were grinding to the beat and finding a good time in the Big Easy seemed quite easy indeed.

But poor Winnie, a country girl who had tried hard to adjust since the beginning of the semester, almost turned around and ran out of that bar.  She probably would have bolted if Dominique hadn’t seen her, in the nick of time, from behind the bar and waved her over.  Winnie took small steps forward, trying to squeeze through the gyrating drunkens, but to no avail.  Winnie’s presence was never a physical force to reckon with and in light of the good time being had, she couldn’t get anyone’s attention to ask them to move.

The “Bond” BabyGirl

Bond 01The weekend was so much fun already and the little Princess was ready for any adventures to come.  The road trip was always good fun and her Daddy booked them at that hotel with the water park attached to it.

Ooooo!  She could hardly wait until morning and hoped he’d take her to that water park right after breakfast.  They got to the hotel too late that Friday night to swim, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to find adventure before bedtime.

She curled up along side her Daddy as they watched that James Bond movie with the bad word in its title and before Roger Moore defeated the bad guys in the end, she knew what adventure she wanted to go on.

Destiny sat there, curled up in a ball and enjoying the wealth of affection that clearly emitted from the seeming glow in her skin and twinkle in her eyes.  While walking back and forth from the kitchen table to the stove, Victor glanced over at her, giving her a wink and letting her know he was aware that she was watching him.  And maybe that simple glance from him shouldn’t have meant the world to her.  But little minds like her were affected by little things.  Details made so much seem more grand and larger than life, like Victor’s care of her and how she hadn’t spent more than a few minutes away from a white hot attention she hadn’t felt in a long time.

She could smell the food and though the apple juice had helped her to wake up while satisfying her tummy for the past few minutes, it was time to eat.  Thankfully, Victor somehow knew that she was done with hunger.  He returned to the sink, opened the second drawer to the left of it, taking out a bib and a length of ribbon.  The bib she understood, but the ribbon she didn’t quite know the purpose of yet.  It didn’t really matter to her, though.  Whatever it was for, she’d find out.  Her Daddy was walking up to her and that was the most important thing at the moment.

There’s a Story in Everything

From the moment you wake up each day to the moment you go to sleep that night, each waking moment is filled with a series of events that you refer to as “Today”.  And tomorrow, you’ll refer to them as “Yesterday”.  Weeks, months & years down the road, you’ll find yourself saying “I remember that day when …”

And along the way, your memories of that one day will become so finely tuned and so reminiscent of the details that mattered to you that you’ll be able to tell people about that one day, how it affected you in the long term, what you were thinking about on that day and what happened.

In essence, what you have done is just written a story in your mind.  And that’s where every story begins. So long as you live and breathe, you’ll always have memories and from those memories, you’ll always have stories to tell.

Tell these stories often enough and you’ll soon find yourself like me – standing in a ridiculously long, seemingly backwards-moving, supposedly “express” checkout line at 3am at a Wal-Mart.  This could become wasted time if I didn’t stand there and imagine the stories that could unfold.

Or walking through a mall and instead of hitting up the usual stores, going into a few you normally wouldn’t.  By doing that, you take yourself out of your comfort zone and can imagine the stories that could unfold at the food court or so many other places that you would normally walk by without a second thought.

My point is: There’s an endless supply of story lines about. I think if more people realized how many stories unfolded around them, they’d start remembering and writing them down.  And suddenly the world would be filled with authors.

It’s because there is a story in everything, in every moment, in every situation, in every single instance of life.  And our minds are drawn to stories that are compelling and interesting to us or stories that, in some way, we relate to.

Enter our personal interests.  Insert your specifics here, but if you’re reading this blog entry, you likely know what the letters ABDL stand for.  Though ABDL is only a small portion of our lives, it can be a large portion of our hearts and an even bigger portion still of the stories we read.

The Tingle that Rocked Her Cradle

Amy hardly had a moment to recover from one emotion to the next.  They were pouring out of her more rapidly than she could keep track of them or even really have time to feel any of them.  But what she was being driven towards was an aftermath that would encompass everything and strike the center of her heart all at once.

All evening, her Daddy had been that romantic knight who courted, wined and dined her.  She never opened a door for herself, nor paid a penny.  But it wasn’t the free ride she cared anything about.  He didn’t have to do anything for it.  And that’s what made it something she cherished.  He did those things for her because he wanted to.  Her little heart never forgot that.

Nor did she forget what it felt like to be pinned to the wall as soon as they got home, how he ripped her clothing off and took her from buzzed & enchanted to aroused & craving.

Through their shower together to the bed to the zenith of cries from a summit she never wanted to balloon down from, Amy had hardly had a moment to recover.  But afterwards, his hands became gentle once more and following him without hesitation, she returned to the innocence of her little heart.

This morning, she awoke, still feeling the tingle the emotions she fell asleep to in his arms.  And the memory of each emotion and every single, blessed sensation rippled through her core.  Gazing up at him as he walked back into their bedroom with her breakfast on a tray, she placed her hand on her chest.

Though she was mesmerized by his Chivalry last night and then by his passions, she was consumed more so, by how he never stopped caring.  And that was the tingle that rocked her cradle.

Destiny gently opened her eyes.  The soft beams of late afternoon shining on the ceiling above allowed her sight to peacefully adjust to light.  At first, her thoughts only went skin-deep as she felt the softness she was surrounded by – from the crib sheet beneath her to the comforter which covered her to the diaper around her waist that she still hadn’t wet.  The sense of touch was one which sometimes overpowered all the others and she knew that if all she could do was feel – not see or speak or smell or hear, she would have more to sense than she had ever before.

The Day She Learned the O.P.

Her Daddy often said she was his O.P.  She never really understood what those letters meant, but she also never asked him what they meant because the look on his face was one of adoration when he said those letters and his eyes were always filled with tears.  Whatever those letters meant, they were very important to him.  So she decided that she would learn their meaning on her own.

Online, she learned of the term Original Poster.  On a road trip to visit her friends, she saw Original Pizza on a building.  In her quieter moments, she thought up her own, from Oblong Porpoise, Orange Pacifier, Overstock Purchase, Ocean Pacific.

But it wouldn’t be until a few weeks later when one night her Daddy walked into her nursery to get her for her night time bath.  She was very busy playing with her blocks and needed a little “down time” from all her play.

“Bath time, Princess” is what her Daddy said and when she reached down to lift her play clothes off, it finally dawned on her.

She was the Original Princess.

“Olivia, what is this big surprise you made us wait until tonight to see?” Rachel asked, making Olivia sit between she and Gretchen on the living room sofa.  “You are not getting up until you tell us.”

“Which, by the way, I think it was really cruel of you to text us on Monday morning that you had something you were just dying for us to see.  Then you made us wait until Friday night to see it!  Who does that?” Gretchen added with a laugh.

“I know I made you wait and I’m really sorry, but if you knew how long I had been keeping this secret from you, you’d probably think that a week was nothing to wait,” Olivia said, sitting forward to pour Gretchen and Rachel two glasses of Pinot Grigio.  “But I needed you to see this big surprise and that wouldn’t be possible until tonight.”

Well I hear you crinkle and your smile melts everyone
Right from the start

My Angel Doll Extravaganza
You’re the reason for teasin’
Each Beat of My Heart, Yeah

And if you said this crib ain’t big enough
I’d build extensions then lift you up
I’ll change your diaper and watch your yittleness beam
While you fill my dreams

And it’s just like emotions that make you swoon
It’s the crashing of two oceans when I met you
You had my kind of lovin’, Girl and you still do, yeah
Gimme a hug and a wink
and then we’ll dream about it

Well I’ll tell you one thing
Each time we part is like a killer bee sting
In every tear and every text I hear my Baby calling me back
Across the Tappan Zee, if I don’t get lost you will soon see me
You feel this dynamic of love, like angel’s above
Making you babble and babble

And if you babble this dress ain’t short enough
I will hem that line to raise it up
I’ll fill your sippy cup with chocolate milk and your bowl with ice cream
While you fill my dreams

And it’s just like emotions that make you swoon
It’s the crashing of two oceans when I met you
You had my kind of lovin’, Girl and you still do, yeah

(Hey Espy)

She had “other” thoughts in mind

Friday night was always date night.  She and her Daddy would dress to impress, then go out on the town to wine-n-dine-n-dance-the-night-away.

Not only was he a sharp-dressed man who put Chivalry back into the forefront of her dreams, but he was also the reason why she would keep an extra pair of panties in her purse.  Her wiles were strong, but they were no match for the urges his presence would evoke from within her core.

Being a bit drunk and still buzzing from the night on her feet, she went to her knees when they got home – yanking the cushions off the living room sofa and setting up a slumber area where they would sit while watching whatever romantic girly movie she picked for them.

Her Daddy went to the kitchen to make up a bottle of milk for her.  When he returned, she was naked.  She rose up on her knees and took hold of the back of his left leg as she wrapped her lips around the rubber nipple of her bottle.  She swallowed the warm milk while gazing up at him with a lust which only would’ve been more clearly pronounced had it been written on her forehead.

He was preparing to Daddy her littleness, but … as with many of their plans … she gave short notice of the change she wanted.   There would be time for diapers, babbling & babying.  For the moment and the current want, she had “other” thoughts in mind.

Being You

She had always been a girl who knew how to dream.  But she had never known how to get beyond her fears to reach her dreams … until she met the man who would become her Daddy.

And without much ado, her insecurities of rejection, judgment, ridicule and immaturity melted away from her little soul, leaving her with no excuse to not pursue the wishes of her little heart.

Some called it a fetish.  She called it a passion.  Some called it obsession.  She called it purpose.  And all along the way, her Daddy kept telling her:  “BabyGirl, you need to concentrate on being you.”

There relationship was inclusive of everything, from the yittlest moments to the more adult ones and every blessed second in between.

But on the day that she confessed to him that she wanted to feel the love of a Mommy, her little heart felt new fear.  And suddenly, trepidation controlled her wishes.

———————

Her Daddy returned home from work on that Monday and walked out to the back patio.  He was a little trepidated himself since he handed his BabyGirl’s mommy his credit card for anything that might be needed that day.  His fear came from the fact that it was a Monday after a big holiday and he knew there were major sales happening at the local mall.

But as he found out, they didn’t do any shopping, nor did they leave the house that day.  Instead, his BabyGirl had spent the day being played with, fed, bathed and smothered with a maternal love that she had dreamt of feeling all her life.

He looked down at his BabyGirl, lying in the gated play area and assuming the position for a diaper change.  Her Mommy turned to him and said:

“She was a very good little girl for me today.  And I am happy to report that when you told her to be herself, she took that to heart.  Today, she was happy little baby and she loves you for allowing to be who she has always wanted to be.”

————————

The only difference between a dream and a memory is that one speaks of where you want to go and the other speaks of where you’ve been.  And all you have to do to get there, you will learn when you spend a little time being you.

She closed her eyes and began to rock herself back and forth gently as she nursed on her pink pacifier.  Smiling, she spent the next few minutes – smelling the roses – as Elliot liked to call it when she settled herself and drifted off into her thoughts.  Sometimes Penny would do this for a few minutes.  Sometimes just for a few seconds.  It all depended on where she was and why she suddenly felt the need to remind herself that, though she was living a dream, she was still wide awake.

Opening her eyes, she could see the same ceiling that was there just a moment ago.  The shower in the bathroom turned on and she could hear Elliot open the shower curtain to step in.  Raising an eyebrow, she nursed on her pacifier some more as a mischievous idea crossed her mind.

The Tremor for Tomorrow’s Memory

Derica could still sense her Daddy’s touch from that morning.  He would be gone for the night – away on a short business trip, but back tomorrow evening.

It would be merely a day apart, but to her it would feel like an eternity of separation from him.  Though her fingers tried vigorously to do what her Daddy’s hands did without any need for effort, it only made her miss him more.

Then she recalled what her Daddy said to her before he left that morning.  He said the same sweet words he always said before these business trips he took.  But she never tired of hearing his timbre whispering in her ear because she knew when she needed to hear his voice again, all she had to do was listen to his echoes in her heart:

“Princess, when you miss me the most, it’s because my heart is aching to be with you again.  And when you long for my touch, it’s because my hands need to feel you.  And when you close your eyes, place your hands where you want to feel me the most.  But don’t remember what the last touch felt like.  Remember what the next one will feel like.  And in your exhale, I’ll be there.”

She closed her eyes, placed her hand on her center and breathed.  From her core, came the tremor for tomorrow’s memory.

here is a story about knowing where to look to find what you need.

What Penny Needed to Become a SnowBunny –

Penny shuffled her pink boots across the pharmacy parking lot, wondering what it would be like to drag them through the snow again.  Winter had arrived once more, but there had been no snow yet this year.  So, in an effort to get Penny into the snow and indulge her snow bunny interests, Elliot planned a trip.  He figured if this year the snow wouldn’t come to them, then they would go to the snow.  But as with any trip, along the way, they learned of the things they forgot to pack.  The Pharmacy Store to the rescue.

Holding Elliot’s hand, Penny kept shuffling her waddled steps to the entrance. Dressed in her white footed pajamas, she looked down at Elliot’s coat – draped over her frame and hanging down to her knees.  It was a major oversight to have forgotten to bring her coat.  Maybe if it had been a bit colder in the Charm City, Elliot might’ve made her wear it.  But Penny rarely put on a snow coat before snow fell.  It just didn’t make sense to her to wear it before that.  As they entered the store, Elliot took the list of other forgotten items out of his pocket.  They certainly wouldn’t find her a snow coat at a pharmacy, but hopefully everything else would be there.

One Year Later …

I make this posting at 3 am on January 1st, 2013.  When I normally post something – be it a picture story, a story sample, a blogging of semi-deep thoughts, a book, an event or whatever – I usually put them up late-morning or early evening.  I do this because of a survey I put out where I asked when people were online most frequently.  (Please feel free to take that survey here.)

But this posting is neither late-morning nor early evening.  It was one year ago, at this very moment … Continue Reading …

The Color of “Little”

03

It is said that the color of love is pink, red and purple – but each for different reasons.

For example, pink is the love of all kinds, like mother to daughter, father to son, friend to friend …  Red is only boy to girl, or man to woman.   Purple represents both.

Yellow is the color of sunshine.  It shows joy, happiness.
Blue is the color of the ocean & the sky.  It’s calming & cool, peaceful & pleasant.
Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony and safety.
Orange is the color of warmth, of energy.  But it has no aggression.

There was a meaning for every color and her Daddy was quite concerned when she kept dressing herself in black.  It didn’t seem very BabyGirl-like until one night when they returned home from an evening out-n-about.

Sitting on the couch, the BabyGirl yawned and littleness filled her eyes.  With instinct, she drew her knees up to her chest – a sign she needed changed. Sitting on the hassock and beginning to undress her, he realized that the color of black was actually the color of little.

Black is the presence of all colors, all at once.  Wearing black meant she wore:

blue – calm and collected, loyal and trusting.
red – passionate and desiring, romantic and feeling courageous.
pink – soft and pretty, shy and timid.
yellow – cheerful and lively, yet relaxed and renewed.
orange – energized and creative, imaginative and mesmerized.
green – healed and renewed, hopeful and ambitious
purple – accepting and sweet, yet mysterious and enigmatic

So why did she choose black to wear instead of another color?  Because she was filled with the sentiments and meanings of all the colors, all at once.  Just like black … The Color of “Little”.
